God promises to walk with us every day of our lives. He never promised that we wouldn’t face troubles. He never promised that the weapon wouldn’t be formed. But He did promise that the weapon would NOT prosper. He did promise that we are more than overcomers. He promised our eternal victory through Jesus Christ when we follow Him and put our trust in Him. The hardest part about faith is just believing that God is as good as He says He is. Our flesh gets in our own way, and we allow doubt and unbelief to fill our hearts. We need to turn away from doubt and unbelief and turn to the God who never changes or casts a shifting shadow. We must turn to the God that is love. The God that restores. The God that heals. The God that loved us so much, that He sent His one and only Son to die for us. To die for our sins. To put the sting of death to bed forever. We don’t deserve this, but it is His grace. His grace abounds. His grace is sufficient. When fear fills your heart, remember who your God is. Remember He is a redeemer. Let Him fight your battles. Be still and sit in the presence of the Lord. Trust Him to do what only He can do. On our own, we will always mess it up. But with Him, we can be delivered. Jesus never said following Him would be easy. There will be trials. There will be struggle. But we must embrace trials and struggles. For when we run into trials of any kind, it will allow our endurance to grow. Our faith is only developed under fire. It’s in the valley where God is closest to us. When we reach that place where the ONLY thing we have is God, that reminds us that He is ALL we need. Jesus is the prize. When we follow Him, we no longer are citizens of this world. We are foreigners, waiting for our real home to come. Lord grant us patience and endurance as we wait for your return. We ask for hearts of humility and for tongues that spread only love. We pray for the fruits of the Holy Spirit to fill our minds, hearts, souls and bodies today. We pray for the joy that can only come from You to fill us and lead us as we live like Jesus today. Help us to continue to turn away from sin, to repent of our wrongdoing and turn to the Light that leads to life. In Jesus’ name, Amen!
